How it works
- We provide you with a small installation program which installs the backup software on your Windows based PC.
(Apple Mac not supported.) We provide you with a password which allows access to the remote storage system.
- After installation, you select which parts of your hard drive to backup. The system also shows logs of your backup
history and which files are backed up. There are also advanced BackupRules which allow you to highly customise your
backups.
- Select a schedule for your on-line backup to take place. If you aren't on-line at the scheduled time, the backup will
resume when you are next connected to the Internet. You can set-up periods when backups should not run. You can also
opt to back up automatically when you shut down your PC
- The backup process is entirely automated, and takes place in background, so you can carry on with your work.
- New or modified files are encrypted (made secure), and compressed (made smaller) before being sent to the remote
storage server across the Internet. A typical daily backup may only take around five minutes to complete.
- File information such as permissions is backed up, so they are automatically reinstated when files are restored.
- You can backup and restore anywhere in the world at any time of the day with any Internet connection, so staff
travelling with laptops can still perform backups, and if a laptop is stolen, data from the last backup can quickly
be restored on a replacement machine.

Requirements
Standard PCs using Windows 95/98 (32MB RAM), NT4, Windows 2000, Windows Millennium (ME) and XP (64MB RAM). The software
takes up less than 5MB of disk space. An internet connection. Broadband or better is recommended.
