Installation

An appointment will be made for a BT engineer to install a 'Service Specific Front Plate' to the existing master telephone line socket (NTE5).
A VDSL modem known by BT as an "active NTE" will also be installed by the BT engineer. If the VDSL modem (Active NTE) is to be located more than 1.5m away from the master socket (NTE5) then a home wiring extension kit will be required at extra charge. This kit provides a maximum additional distance of 30m and can be routed internally or externally to an additional extension point where the Active NTE can be connected. Additional charges will apply for the extension kit, and this must be stated at the time of order, otherwise the engineer will not be able to complete the installation. You connect your PPPoE capable Ethernet Router to the VDSL modem via your routers Ethernet WAN port.

You then set-up your router to configure this port as PPPoE with the username/password information supplied by Swift Internet.
