If the PPPoE router has been supplied by Swift Internet, then it will be supplied to you pre-configured, and the paperwork included with the router will show access details for the routers control panel.

Testing an FTTC connection from a directly connected Laptop/PC
A computer may be directly connected to the Ethernet port of the BT VDSL modem and a PPPoE connection set-up a on the PC to test connectivity if the VDSL Modem sows sync but the network has no connection. this will help to eliminate customer equipment as the source of the problem.

On the PC, go to:
Control panel, Network and Internet
Click Network Sharing Centre
Click Setup a connection or network
Follow the wizard for a PPPoE connection, entering the Username and Password provided for your connection.
