Internet Connection Wizard for MacOS 8 series

1. Double Click on the Hard Drive Icon.
2. Double Click on the Internet Icon.

3. Double Click on the "Internet Setup Assistant".

4. Click on the "Update" button.

5. Now Click on the "Right Arrow" to continue.
6. Put a dot in "Add Internet Configuration"
7. Click on the "Right Arrow" to continue.

8. Put a name in the "Configuration" Box.
9. Now put a dot in "Modem"
   
10. Click on the "Right Arrow" to continue.
11. If you are asked if you want to install PPP scripting, select No

12. Now select the modem you are using from the list.
13. Now choose "Modem Port"
14. Put a dot in "Tone"
    
15. Click on the "Right Arrow" to continue.

A screen will then appear, requiring the following information listed below.

16. In the "What is the phone number for this configuration" put in the Dial up number. 0845 1121324 (or 1121074), remembering to add any prefix numbers if you have to disable line services.
17. In the "What name do you use with this service" text box, put in your Dial up Username, checking spelling and case.
18. In the "What is your password text" box, put in the Swiftserve password you use to connect to the Internet with, checking the case and spelling.
19. Now Click on the "Right Arrow" to Continue.

20. Now on the following box, put a dot in "No". Then click on the "Right Arrow" to Continue.

21. Now put in the DNS address you were given from your ISP. (See diagram)
    Put in the Domain name shown. Then Click on the "Right Arrow" to Continue.

The remainder of this guide covers the set up of the Swiftserve mail account.
Only use the following if you would like to set-up the free e-mail address which comes with the dial-up account.

If you have a domain name from Swift and would like to use that e-mail address, please refer to the email account setup in our FAQs- do NOT use the details listed here.

If you do not want the free account set-up, simply skip the following pages until you reach the last screen (by clicking on the right arrow).

1. Enter the swiftserve e-mail address and the swiftserve password (Password will be the same as the password you entered on the dial up account)

2. Enter the target location of your mail server (see diagram). Make sure "yourname" is the same as the "yourname" in the Swiftserve e-mail address
3. Also enter the smtp address shown, as this is the route out for your mail.
4. Then click on the "Right Arrow" to Continue.

5. Newsgroups
   Do not enter anything in the following boxes. Click on the "Right Arrow" to Continue.

Wizard Finished!!

Put a tick in "Connect when finished"

Click on "Go Ahead"
This will now Connect you to the Internet.
