Setting up dial up access on Mac OSX
- From the bottom toolbar, select System Preferences
- Select Network, and you will see the following:

NOTE:
Advanced users can go straight to the Configure option. New users are advised to use the "Assist me" feature
Using the Assist me wizard.
You will need to have your modem connected to the telephone line in order to complete this wizard!!
The wizard goes through the basic step to configure a dial up connection:
Step 1: Give the connection a name.

Step 2: Confirm you are using a telephone modem

Step 3: Enter your Swiftserve / OLM /dialunmetered dialup telephone number and credentials.

Step 4: Test your modem connection and dial up details - the phone line must be connected at this point

Following a successful connection, the wizard will then ask if you want to apply the new settings to the system. Apply them to finish the wizard.
Using the Network configure option
This method sidesteps the wizard and allows direct access to the settings - useful for advanced users, and also is handy in the event the dial up connection needs refining or troubleshooting.
