How do I Setup or add POP mail boxes to Outlook XP - PC with Windows ?

Microsoft Outlook XP is a desktop information manager program included with Microsoft Office XP. One of its many capabilities is handling e-mail, and this document describes how to configure Outlook XP Internet e-mail.

The guide covers a scenario where the Outlook is set up on a standalone machine, or on a network with no central mail sorting server (such as Exchange) and Outlook sends direct to the Internet.
In scenarios where an Exchange or VPOP3 server is used, mail client configuration should be referred to the network administrator, as custom settings may be used.

Configure Outlook XP

  1. Click Tools
  2. Select the Email Accounts
  3. Select new email account
  4. Click Next

  5. Select the POP 3 option form the list, then click next.

  6. You are now into the e-mail accounts configuration panel.
