How to Filter tagged SPAM messages - Outlook 2000 & XP
All
Swift servers tag email which it considers to be spam with
*****SPAM***** in the subject line. This makes it easier to dispose of
them in your email software.
In the Outlook Tools menu, pull down to select the Rules Wizard
In the Rules Wizard dialog, click on the New button
Select Start creating a rule from a template and then select Move messages based on content
Click on the underlined value that reads "contains specific words".
Then type {Spam?} , and click the Add button
Then type in {Virus?} (once again, no spaces) and then click Add button
Then type *****SPAM***** and click the Add button.
and then click the OK button.
Click on the word specified in "move to specified folder" to bring up the Rules Wizard folder selection dialog
Click New to create a new folder, naming it Spam or whatever you prefer. Click OK at this and OK at the next dialog to return to the Rules Wizard dialog with your completed rule.
Click Finish and OK at the next dialog.
Now, incoming spam will automatically go into the Spam folder. You may want to check through it periodically just in case you have any false positives.
