Our technical support services are provided at no additional charge by telephone, e-mail, and web.
Before contacting Swift Support, please take a look at our

Scope of our Support
Swift Dial Up Accounts
Swift Internet will provide online/ telephone support for configuring dial up settings and troubleshooting problems for Windows,
Netscape and Mac browser facilities, where connected to our dial up services:
- Internet Explorer/ Netscape/ Mozilla/ Mac browser configuration - We will provide
support for configuring up dial up settings and troubleshooting browser problems.
- Network protocols relating to Internet functions - Troubleshooting the operating
system for incorrect or missing elements required for the Internet.
- Initial modem troubleshooting, where modem reports line connection problems or inability to complete the dial up link.
ISDN Dial-up Access
Swift Internet is able to provide support for the set up configuration of windows for ISDN dial up connections (excluding any specific
information provided by the line provider). We cannot however provide support for the hardware itself.
ISDN Router Access
Swift Internet will provide the necessary set-up information for connection to a Swift account via a router.
Due to the extensive ranges of routers on the market, we are unable to provide hardware set-up and configuration for the router itself.
ADSL Router Access
- Swift Internet will provide the necessary set-up information for connection to the ADSL service via the supplied
ADSL Router, as well as support for troubleshooting any problems that arise during connection.
- Connection information will be supplied by Swift Internet for use in third party ADSL routers. However, Swift Internet can only
support it's range of supplied equipment. Queries and problems regarding third party supplied ADSL equipment and their settings
should be referred to the relevant equipment vendor.
- Faults caused by physical telephone line and exchange breakdowns will be reported by Swift Internet to the BT Broadband
Operations Unit, who will handle the line checks and repairs.
Swift E-mail Facilities
Swift Internet will provide support for configuration of E-mail facilities, where relevant to our services. We will support the user
in order to create and maintain the mailbox accounts within the following mail clients.
- Outlook
- Outlook Express (both PC and Mac formats)
- Netscape mail clients (Communicator, Messenger, etc.)
- Eudora
We also provide web-mail access to mailboxes via our Swift serve web site
NT Small Business Server / Exchange server
Swift Internet will support the configuration of the Internet e-mail Service, Internet browsing and items associated within this
function (protocols, ETRN mail retrieval, RAS, Dial on Demand, etc.).
We are unable to support general NT server functions involving server maintenance, internal LAN networking issues and server
configuration where not applicable to Internet functions. These items are the responsibility of the client's network administrator.
Support relating to Swift Web Site Hosting Facilities.
FTP (Uploading yourweb site to the Internet)
Swift will provide support for the uploading of your web site to a Swift web server using the following methods: FTP via CuteFTP,
or WSFTP, Dreamweaver FTP, or Publishing using Microsoft FrontPage. If you are using any other package, Swift will provide the
necessary connection information.
Scripts and Programs
Swift will provide necessary set-up information, such as paths, for scripts and programs which you install in the cgi-bin. Swift
cannot debug any scripts written by a third party, however Swift will provide error log information if requested to do so.
Web Design
Swift will provide support for the set-up of forms which post to the FormMail.pl (form to email) script. Swift will not provide
support for the use of specific web design packages, or programming languages. We will provide you with general advice and help
within reason, so if in doubt, please ask.

Swift Internet is not responsible for configuration of 3rd party ISP dial up connections (modem, ISDN or ADSL) or for the general
configuration and condition of the operating system used.
Matters relating to driver conflict or corruption, hardware issues or defective line connections will be referred to the item
vendor.
Due to the ever updating nature of modem software, clients are advised to periodically check their hardware vendor
web site for updated drivers.
3rd Party Internet connection enhancement and email control software
is installed solely at the client's own risk.
Although Swift will endeavour to advise on these products, we advise checking with the software vendor prior to purchase, and to back
up essential data prior to loading.
Swift Internet is not responsible for the configuration of 3rd party ISP email accounts.
We are unable to provide on-site support.
